Bathing Beauty

Nick and I call Allie our little Alligator. One of my friends sent me the link to this swimsuit and I just HAD to get it for her! It's perfect! I bought it yesterday and we modeled it for Daddy when he got home from work last night. It's so cute! I can't wait for swimsuit season!
Gymboree has a whole line of Alligator items for the spring and summer. I'm trying to hold myself back from buying them all but you never know!

Allie's 2nd Road Trip

Nick, Allie and I headed to North Carolina this weekend for Kelsey and Marshall's engagement party at Marshall's parents' home. It took us 10 hours to get there, including two lengthy stops to change outfits after poop blowouts, but Allie did wonderfully! She played with her bear toy for a little while and then slept the majority of the trip. We did discover that she does not at all like being awake in the car when it's dark out. She much prefers us to turn the dome light on so that she can see her toys. Our little diva.

We got to meet many of Marshall's relatives and two of Kelsey's bridesmaids, Penny & Lura. Everyone was so sweet and welcoming and we had a wonderful time at the party! We stayed at Marshall's brother Christopher's house, which is where Kelsey and Marshall are staying until they find a place of their own. Allie settled in nicely and tried to stay quiet the whole night so as not to wake everyone. I think she enjoyed being the center of attention! Here are some pictures from the weekend.

Allie happy to be out of the car and playing at the Forcum's house.

Allie's Favorite Toy

My Aunt Becky and Uncle Alan sent Allie this bear as a baby shower gift. It is supposed to be used for teething but I gave it to her the other day and she LOVES it! It crinkles when you touch it, has rings on the bottom and has clothes made of crazy colorful patterns. She enjoys grabbing the rings and pulling on the pockets so that it makes noise. She will sit and play with it for long periods of time and it has totally helped me keep my sanity in the car. We don't go anywhere without it!

ENT Follow Up

Allie had her appointment with the ENT on Friday. After a short exam, he said that her frenulum is very close to the tip of her tongue but it is also very thin, which is a good thing. He said that the thinner ones tend to stretch out on their own and it is up to us if we want to have it clipped or not, but he would probably take the "wait and see" approach. We decided not to have it done right now and he said that we could re-evaluate in a few months. It is such a relief to have an expert look at it and tell us that it will be fine. Big smiles all around!

Sitting Pretty

Allie also loves her bumbo chair! She loves to sit in the kitchen with Mommy while I'm cooking or sit on the couch with Nick and myself. The looks she makes just crack me up!

Getting some exercise

With Allie wanting to stand up all the time, I decided to get out her exersaucer. She doesn't quite seem to understand the point of all of the toys but she likes to stand up and look around. We only let her play for 5-10 minutes at a time but it's so cute to watch her!
