Another Great Visit
We saw a female doctor for the first time and liked her much better than the men we've seen in the past. She actually asked questions about how I was feeling and if my asthma had been bothering me at all. You could actually tell that she had read our chart and was taking a genuine interest in what we had to say. If only the other doctors had been that way.
She said that the reason my right foot swells more than my left is because of a previous injury to that ankle and foot so it is not something to be concerned about. As long as the swelling is not painful and goes away at night time, there's no cause for concern. She measured my belly and let us listen to the heartbeat for as long as we wanted! I just can't get enough of that sweet sound and get teary-eyed just listening to it. We were advised not to travel far from home after 32 weeks, although this is a standard advisory, not an indication that something may be wrong.
We have to start going back to the doctor every 2 weeks now instead of every 4. That means we're getting closer! I can't believe I'm entering my 7th month already. My, how time flies! Neptune will be here before we know it!

Happy 1st Birthday Boys!
Home from the hospital: Cameron, Carson, Cole

Happy 1st Birthday! Cole, Carson, Cameron

Cameron (aka Cammy, Cammster, Crazy Cammy, Donald Trump, Peanut)
The oldest brother and also the current smallest. He's pulling up and standing and is very close to walking! He crawls like a champ but is not a great sleeper. Cameron likes to scream for fun and bounces all around the room. He's a ball of energy!

Carson (aka Car Car, Carson-Barson, Helmet Hero)
Carson was the smallest at birth but is now the second-biggest. He's quite and somewhat reserved but has little "talking moments" where the goes on and on to himself. He's starting to crawl and on the verge of pulling up and loves anything with tags.

Cole (aka Cole-train, the Tank, Cole Cole, Cole-man)
Believe it or not, Cole is the youngest. He's also the biggest at a whopping 25lbs! He has mastered the army crawl and has Grandma-ma wrapped around his little finger. He has amazing hand-eye coordination and loves Pat-A-Cake.

Happy 1st Birthday Boys! You've brought each of us more joy than we ever could have imagined. We can't wait to see how you continue to grow and change through the years!
WE LOVE YOU!

We're Back!
My feet and ankles weren't huge fans of the heat but the swelling went away at night so I wasn't too concerned. I mean, seriously, ankles are SO over-rated these days anyway, right?
Nick was so adorable on the beach too! Every time we would see a baby girl, he would ask how old I thought she was and if we could do whatever she was doing with Neptune next year in Florida. He was great with Shelley's boys and the other kids too. He really made it a priority to hang out with each of the kids and show them things or play with them on the beach. Isn't he just the cutest husband ever??? He is so eager to be a Daddy that it just melts my heart. Neptune is going to be one lucky little girl.

We seem to be making some progress on ridding Neptune of her beloved nickname. We're about 75-80% sure that we're going to go with Allison Jayne and call her Allie. I was able to get through the "L's" in the baby name book while in Florida and would still like to read the second half of the alphabet but so far, this is the winner. We'll definitely let you know when we finalize a name for our little Neptune.
Other than unpacking and trying to reorganize, we're just getting ready for several busy weeks ahead. This is what our schedule looks like for the next two months.
Aug. 23rd - Triplets 1st Birthday
Aug. 30th - OSU Football Game, replacing doors and painting Neptune's room.
Sept. 6-7th - Our 1st Anniversary Weekend, Becky's Baby Shower
Sept. 13th - Linda's B-day party weekend in Columbus
Sept. 20th - Couples wedding shower for Lindsey and Andrew
Sept. 27th - Childbirth class at the hospital, fun, fun, fun
Oct. 4th - Bryant Family Baby Shower for Neptune
Oct. 11th - Possible Whalen Family Baby Shower for Neptune
Oct. 18th - Lindsey & Andrew's Wedding
Looks like it's going to be a crazy few months. Nick is starting to stress about getting her room completed before her arrival but I'm not worried. We'll get it done and it will be perfect for her!

You're Too Sweet

When I opened the card, I realized it was from Stacey, one of my advisors from Syracuse. She was one of the residential life faculty advisors for our dorm my sophomore year. I was elected president of the dorm that year so she and I worked together planning dorm and campus-wide events and became very close.
Stacey has been there from the beginning of Nick and my's relationship. She was the one I shared my thoughts with about my new "boyfriend" and was with me when I picked out Nick's very first Valentine's Day card. I'm sure she never thought that the guy that lives in Ohio that I was so in love with and babbled on and on about would one day become my husband, but she listened anyway and supported me. She was one of my closest friends that year and would continue to be so until I graduated.
She has since left Syracuse and moved on to bigger and better positions so we don't keep in touch as often as we should. I still can't get over how sweet it was of her to think of me, Nick and little Neptune and almost burst into tears every time I think of it. So, if you're out there reading this Stacey, we really, really appreciate your kindness and we really, really, really need to do a better job of keeping in touch!

The Weir Family Reunion

A big thanks goes out to Grandma Weir for hosting such a fabulous weekend for all of us. We had a great time with the Weir family and are looking forward to Reunion '09. And, next year there will DEFINITELY be t-shirts!
