Neptune's a Star Already!

We went to Dick and Linda's for dinner Saturday night and were surprised with a gift for baby Neptune.

Grandma-ma and Grandpa Bryant had found this Baby Einstein DVD while shopping and had to buy it. It's called "Baby Neptune!" I opened it and Nick and I just started laughing. Who knew our little Neptune was so popular in-utero that they had to create a DVD about him/her? I can only hope that that's not a portrait of what Neptune is going to look like on the front cover! Either way, I can't wait to watch it.

Thanks Grandma-ma and Grandpa Bryant!

19 Weeks

I can't believe we're almost half-way to meeting our little Neptune! It sure seems like the time is flying by. Here's a pic to show just how huge I am already. No wonder the neighbor thinks I'm having twins. Don't worry, those aren't giant stretch marks down my side (yet anyways), it's the shadow from camera cord.

Saturday I was blessed with what we assume was food poisoning. It was a disgusting day and I have a new respect for people who get moring sickness. Luckly, I got over after about 18 hours of puking and felt like a new person on Sunday. I even did the laundry (I must have still been sick because I HATE laundry, haha)!

We go to the doctor tomorrow for a check-up and will get to hear the heartbeat again and FINALLY get schedule our ultrasound. It will probably be around the end of July.

1st Post

I decided to start this blog to keep our friends and family updated on the impending arrival of little "Neptune." With us spread all across the country, it's hard to keep everyone up to date and I often can't remember to whom I've told what. Hopefully having all of the info in one central location will help eliminate this problem.

So far things have been going very well. I managed to make it through with no morning sickness, for which I am very thankful. We've heard the heartbeat twice so far and it is the coolest experience, definitely something we will never forget! I started to show a few weeks ago and have really started to "pop" lately. Strangers can definitely tell I'm pregnant now.

So far, we haven't reached a consensus on the baby's sex. Nick consulted with a psychic at a local festival who claims Neptune is a boy. A guy that I work with swears it is a girl and that he has never been wrong at guessing an unborn babies sex. Kelsey seems to think that it is twins and possibly one of each. I don't particularly have a feeling either way. I guess we'll have to wait a few more weeks to find out!

Anyways, thank you all for your well wishes, prayers and support. We really appreciate it all and can't wait for everyone to meet little Neptune!
