4 Months Old!

Allie is growing so fast! We had her 4-Month well check today and she is doing great! She weighed in at 13 lbs 1.5 oz (50th percentile) and was 24 1/2 inches long (75th percentile). She cried during her shots but recovered quickly.

Her new skill this week is blowing raspberries! It's so cute but totally soaks her clothes! I was able to get it on video the other day and will try to figure out how to post it. It just cracks me up. She's also started sitting for short spurts unassisted but shows no interest in rolling over. The doctor said not to worry, that she'll roll when she's ready and he thinks she's pretty close. He suggested we start baby-proofing now because she'll be on the move soon! Where does the time go???? The big thing we need to work on is getting her to sleep in either the pack-n-play or her crib. She's still sleeping in the magic chair and refuses to sleep anywhere else. He said fighting her on it now would be a lot less painful than fighting her on it in a few months so we're determined to work on it this week. He said she's a beautiful little girl and is perfectly healthy!

We're still not sure what we're going to do about switching doctors. We really like the doctor but are having a very hard time getting over the prescription mix-up. I just keep freaking out about what would have happened if I'd not caught the error and gave her steroids for 45 days instead of Zantac. How badly could that have hurt my precious little girl? Just the thought of it makes me want to vomit. I think we would feel better if they would simply own their mistake and assure us that it wouldn't happen again but they're STILL not doing that, even with a copy of the incorrect prescription. The doctor pretty much just said that mistakes happen sometimes. I realize this but I want to know that you're doing everything in your power to make sure that they DON'T happen! I don't feel like that's too much to ask for. Nick and I have a lot of talking to do over the next few days.

Here are a couple of pictures of our cutie-pie!

Happy 4 Months Baby Girl! We love you!
